Thomas Alan Connor

Thomas started playing music at the age of 19 joining his first band in the neighborhood he grew up in. Always writing and working on original music, Thomas stayed out of the cover bands until he formed Foolish Pleasure in 1982 with world renowned guitarist Craig Goldie who later in life joined the band Dio.

Later, he formed a band called The Rock, which became a very popular original act in the San Diego area for many years. He is also a founding member of the tribute band Viva Santana, which started in 1990 and still going strong today.

In 2006, Thomas joined the legendary band Blood Sweat and Tears. Taking the place of the vocal legend David Clayton Thomas, they toured with the likes of Lauren Hill, The Guess Who, Stealy Dan, Ziggy Marley, Fat Boy, John Scofield, and Don McClain. Thomas worked with BS&T over a period of 9 years.

IN addition to CGK Acoustic, Thomas is currently involved with multiple projects -

  • Super group TOP BRASSSS featuring former members of Blood Sweat And Tears, Chicago, Tower of Power, Miami Sound Machine and more. They perform hits each of those bands around the world.
  • His original act The Thomas Connor Band with Greg McKinney (bass), Rodney Zinnen (drums) and Stephen Kamada (guitar).
  • Recording with his former band The Rock with a soon to be released CD
  • A new recording project with keyboardist Bill Cornish titled Heart Soul and Spirit, consisting of compositions written, produced, and arranged by Bill and Thomas

Thomas has a very large original song catalogue and is honored by all the great musicians that have taken their time to work with him throughout the years.

Chris Guerra

From Lansing Michigan, Chris began working at the age of 16 with various top 40 and funk bands touring throughout the mid west, Asia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Mexico Canada, Guam, Hawaii and many more. Chris has also worked cruise ships and openings for concerts and club date around the world.

Chris has worked and recorded with Pat Yandall, Joey Navaro, Steve Bach (keyboardist for Stanley Clarke), Greg Phillinganes, and renowned producer CJ Vanston (Toto, Joe Cocker and Spinal Tap). He has shared the stage with Debbie Brothers, Kirk Whalum, Kool and The Gang, Manhattan Transfer, 38 Special to name a few.

Stephen Kamada

Stephen Kamada started gigging regularly with blues bands at the age of 16 and moved into other styles as his musical life progressed. A graduate of GIT Guitar Institute of Technology in 2006, Stephen raised the the bar and his Guitar abilities became a sought after commodity. His love for all styles of music and his versatility have landed him some great gigs.

  • At age 23 Stephen became session guitarist for Dave Lynch,replacing Frank Gambale.
  • Stephen has recorded with Alan Holdsworth’s bassist Dave Carpenter on one of his final recordings.
  • 2010 Stephen toured with jazz-funk soul group SOULRAYE
  • 2013 Stephen was guitarist for the reggae band Big Mountain
  • 2015 Stephen also joined the Thomas Connor Band and is currently working on their new release
